Student Activities
- Student Council.....from pencil sales and organizing sport and recess equipment student council provides an opportunity for students to participate in leadership. The present council is composed of a President, Treasurer, and two representatives from each classroom. Teacher advisers are.Mary Dietler and Karen Andrew. For more information click here.
The Student Council reps bring classroom problems to the meetings, and the reps talk about them. So far this year, we’ve tried to make the playground and the lunchroom safe and happy for all our students.
- Kids Helping Kids.....Meetings are held during lunch in Room #403 on the first Thursday of each month.
- Lunch Bunch Book Club....meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the library for pizza, cookies and fruit... February's book is " When the Circus Came to Town ". Fourth and Fifth Graders are welcome to obtain a copy from Mrs. Wehrley or Mrs. Gray or from a bookstore such as Rakestraw Books. For more info click here.
- Alamo Birthday Book Program
Children can donate a book to the Library to commemorate his or her birthday or special occasion. The PTA sends out flyers the month of the students' birthdays asking for a donation of $15. The available books are on the Birthday Book Club Shelf. Book plates are typed up with the child's name and birthdate.

Activities for the Family or Parents

- SITE Council--a parent/teacher/community based group devoted to the improvement of the student's welfare at school. For more information, click here.
